Great little park with fishing and games for the kids. Nice big sites and top of the line hookups and supper wifi. Easy on and off the highway

Pulled in & couldn't figure out how this place had 5 stars. Dirt sites, no building for an office, just a canopy. Very few campers in the campground & right along side of the expressway.

Great small park, great people, how many places do you know that brings you a door mat because in some places the grass has not grown in yet.
Nicest people we've ever seen on an RV park.

excellent stopover or a place to visit the area.
Visit them, you won't be disappointed.

Allstays said $$$,when in fact it was $$$$. It was right on the freeway and very noisy. The owners were wonderful and the park was very clean. No facilities.

Outstanding camp ground for a stop along I-10 or a longer stay to explore the area. All sites have excellent pedestals for power, night lighting and water. Sewer inlets are well located and have a nicely designed angled cement surround--John clearly put some thought into the layout. The price is excellent, especially if you are a member of Passport America. The lake and grounds make for a lovely stroll and the dog runs are a nice addition. This campground has easy access on and off of I-10 and there is an excellent Love's at this exit. You will hear the highway (as you do in all campgrounds that are close to major roads) but the back in sites at the rear are quieter. I did checkout the two nearby state park campgrounds & I prefer the convenience and layout of the Hitchin Post. The owners have made this a little slice of heaven and I look forward to visiting again in the Spring when the flowers are in bloom.

Extremely nice, friendly and helpful owners. They make you feel at home in their campground. Sites are big and the pedestals are new. Sites are packed sand with new grass at the sites. A bit of noise because of the proximity to I 10, but very tolerable. Great place for an overnight and the price is very very reasonable. I used Passport America, which they accept 365 days a year. Very easy to find and easy access to I-10 and art 231.
Stayed there in early December 2016 and will definitely stay there again.

Good people run the park who really do care. Allowed us a late checkout (park not busy) and brought us some complimentary free range eggs that we enjoyed. The park is still being developed and refined but a year from now it will be very nice I presume.

Tower nearby so all providers should be solid.
