What a tremendous find. They don’t make them like this anymore. Neat and clean. No mud or dry dirt. John was so nice and couldn’t do more to make our stay so welcoming after a 12 trek today. We will come stay again.

What a great campground. The sites are nice and clean with fire ring and table. The owners are So accommodating. I like the campground is not full of permanent campers/seasonal. What a great find. We will definitely go a few miles out of the way to come back to campground.

John and Vonda have done an excellent job of creating a wonderful campground. They are so warm, welcoming and friendly, that you know right off the bat that it’s going to be a great experience. They are at an exit that has a big Love’s with a Chester’s Chicken and a good size McDonald’s. The Hitchin Post is easy in, easy out (great for overnight), and has lots of really cool lawn games, 2 dog parks, a horse corral, and a fishing lake with pedal boats (also great for a longer stay)! We traveled with a 40’ fifth wheel and had a LOT of room. Some of the back-in sights are shaded, and there are lots of trees in the vicinity. I would definitely recommend John and Vonda’s Hitchin Post, they built it from the ground up, and are doing a great job!

Great new owners. Going above and beyond to make you welcome. Great place for one night running home. Only negative is closeness to I-40
Will be back

Enthusiastic newer owners doing many renovations. The sites were level but a little tightly spaced, although for a transit stopover they were sufficient. From the Allstays map it looks like this campground has a little space from I-10, but be forewarned it's directly adjacent. The I-10 noise was noticeable and therefore subtracts one star. At $40/night it's on the high side for what is essentially a stopover/transit stay, there subtract one more star.

We read the reviews and based on them, we decided to stop here. A very quaint, nice, down home park. The owners clearly work hard to make this park comfortable and nice for their guests! They are extremely nice and personally meet you at your vehicle. They lead you to a site and place the welcome mat at your door. They have all kinds of rec. toys for use and 2 fenced dog parks. We did not care that they don't have a bathhouse as we don't use them.

This park is beautiful and the owners are amazing. Complimentary firewood and a mat for your door to keep the sand out of your camper. Bunnies all over, a corral for horses and room for big horse trailers. There's fishing and lots of trees too. No showers or bathrooms and more mosquitoes in the area than I'd prefer, but I'd definitely stay again. And longer

Great RV park. I agree with all the reviews. The owners are super friendly and campground is clean. They even provide free fire wood. I highly recommend you stop here.

Great place for a overnight stay the owners couldn't be more friendly or helpful. When they escort you to your site they make sure the power is off at the box and even put down a door mat for you. It easy to get in and out and there is a loves truck stop right there too.

This little campground is a jewel. It's right off the interstate and 1/4 mile from a Love's truck stop. There is a lot of road noise if your site is on the North side of the park. The reason it's a 5 star in my book is the attitude of the owners and the quality of the hookups. The power pedestals are new and they're lit at night making it easy if you come in late. The owners meet you at the gate and help you get setup at your site. Because of the sandy ground they provide a mat to help keep the sand out of your RV. Wonderful place to overnight on the road!
