Absolutely beautiful FamCamp. Large level concrete pads, quiet, and pretty views of the surrounding hills.

This is a very nice base we芒鈧�鈩�ll kept very clean! Camp sites are full hook up for 51 RV芒鈧�鈩�s many are pull through! Bath house is clean and free laundry available. Commissary & Exchange available. There is a base gym & pool available as well didn芒鈧�鈩�t make it ourselves but next sure over said it was very nice and a miles walk from famcamp if desired. SD was a beautiful place to visit did lots of motorcycle riding! Hope to return next year!

We stayed here for a few weeks. The price is right BUT there are some issues. We came in on a Friday to the commercial gate as per the website芒鈧�鈥漺hen the new juneteeth holiday went in effect芒鈧�鈥漷he gate was closed and we were directed to another gate on N. Ellsworth Road芒鈧�鈥�(this gate was CLOSED and looks like it had been for months芒鈧�鈥漚lthough it would be a perfect gate access to the famcamp). Needless to say we had to disconnect our tow just to get turned around. Finally we found the 芒鈧�藴main gate芒鈧�鈩� access that was open on this Friday芒鈧�鈥漺hich is on Liberty Blvd just off N. Ellsworth road. Needless to say our arrival was messed up and nobody in the guard shack knew how to correctly direct RVers. Oh, but that isnt all. We had to take RV to a service place in Rapid City芒鈧�鈥漚fter our fiasco getting on base we decided to go out the main gate which was a pain also. We barely got around the narrow barriers w/our Class A. This is a single lane road and had we got stuck we wouldve held up traffic. So, before we left the famcamp for good we drove our tow to the guard shack and asked them to open barriers for our departure. Apparently nobody knew if the commercial gate was going to be open or not on Fri 2nd of July because of 芒鈧�藴family day芒鈧�鈩� prior to holiday. Our site was on the east (corrected) side which had dry grass and unappealing, the grill had old food remnants on it. And whatever you do, don't pull into the lot to check in芒鈧�鈥漷here is no access from the check in area to the lot. You will have to back up your rig and pull out to go to the end of the street Dont know if we would stay here again.

Great place to stay. Super clean, quiet, easy to find. Love that the commissary,PX and pool were within a few blocks to use. Nice large paved pull through sites with grass next to it. Loved the free laundy and showers were very clean. Will definitely stay here again.

Ellsworth Famcamp is one of the nicest campgrounds I芒鈧�鈩�ve had the pleasure of staying at. Staff super friendly sites are clean free Wi-Fi free laundry you can eat in the chow hall you can go to the gym you can swim in the indoor swimming pool and there芒鈧�鈩�s a library exchange, Next-door is an air and space Museum that芒鈧�鈩�s free that has about 52 different displays planes very cool.

Very clean and well designed. Stayed in 35 ft 5th wheel. Patriot gate a challenge exiting due to barricade placement. Snow in late May!

We have stayed here 3 times. The first two were very nice. We are in a 40 ft Rv & had plenty of space for it & our tow. There is some noise from aircraft but not terrible. You are on an air base!!! Convenient to gas station & exchange. This trip was not as good. I called from 9-1 for reservations & there was no answer. I left name/ no. But got no call back. We arrived around 1pm. Office was closed- a note on door to call for assistance. I was told I could pull into space 10 & come in tomorrow to pay. If that space was reserved she would move us then! They were adding some of these newer concrete pads when were here earlier this year. They are long & nice. What we see this time is a constant traffic of cars parking in front of our site or near it on the grass so they can do Laundry or take showers. I don芒鈧�鈩�t blame them. There is no place to park to carry your laundry in or out. Very poor planning by someone! Paying $28.00 a night isn芒鈧�鈩�t awful but a bit pricy compared to most military camps we stay at. Oh and I just got a call back from the office regarding my reservation! We芒鈧�鈩�ve now been here s day and a half! Office could use some improvement!

Stayed in the overflow - an abandoned parking lot with electric hookups on the flight line. There was no signage to get from the main FamCamp to the overflow, a few miles away. Difficult to get anyone to answer the phone to make a reservation (thus the overflow lot), or to give directions once there. The main FamCamp looked nice, and the restrooms/showers were okay if not rundown.

Very nice Famcamp. Sights are concrete, bathrooms and laundry are kept clean. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Downside, if you are in the pull thrus, you have a walk to the bath houses. The overflow sights are under construction but looks like they will have electricity, but there won芒鈧�鈩�t be many. Would recommend this camp for your stay in the Black Hills.

Typical military campground. No problem getting our 36ft 5th wheel in. I recommend the back-in sites. The pull-thru sites are kinda close to each other. And the star shape layout of the back-in sites are really easy to back in to and provide much better room and views.
