Large camp ground with a great staff (always available). Facilities are clean and operational. Central located swimming pool which is the best. all types of camper; motorhomes to tenting. We stayed over a weekend which the park filled up. I would suggest reservation now that the summer is in full operation.

Large campground about a 1/4 mile from the entrance to the Gettysburg National Park visitor center. The staff were great and the camp store is well stocked. The sites are gravel and are decently spaced. We had full hookups and both the power and water flowed right. Plenty of trees in the area of the pull-thrus and we were site 47 which was on the end of the row giving us a bit more room. We were also right across from the new pool and pavilion area along with mini golf, all of which are great for kids. We would stay here again.

Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Artillery Ridge. Getting to the campground was easy and all on good roads. Just off the highway. The roads in the campground are paved and gravel and are in good condition. A few trees need to be trimmed. The campground office was open and everyone was friendly. They provide a map to your site. They have a large camp store. Large parking area is provided while checking in. The road signage to our site was good. Sites have fire pits and they have firewood. Our site was 50, a pull thru site with a picnic table. The campground has a mix of shaded and sunny sites. Our site was not level. Most sites look unlevel. The site was dry. The site was gravel. The campground has a small amount of seasonal folks. The one bathhouse was nice, but the other was old and outdated. No camp host needed here. Laundry was good. There was a large pool with a large shaded patio area. There were lots of games like, putt putt, cornhole, pool table, air hockey, etc. There is no workout fitness room. There is no restaurant on site, but the campground is close to town. Cable TV service is available. Wifi was available and good. Over air antenna was limited to only a few channels. No road noise to note.
Our site was long but narrow. Most sites are very close together. No vegetation or anything to divide the sites. The grounds were well maintained. All the sites are about the same. I had a hard time finding any sites that I would want to stay for an extended time. Maybe sites 66, 76, 13, 25, & 42. This park has lots of amenities, but most sites were just blaa. I may come back. Less then a mile from museum. Quiet spaced sites. Little fishing pond and pool. Office hours are a little hit and miss but they were nice. Online reservations worked seamlessly. Bathrooms and laundry were clean and nice. It was over 90 degrees while there a facilities do not have AC. Probably not a big deal rest of year.

This was our second visit to the park. It must be under new ownership or management. We arrived heading south from Maine to So Florida in 30 degree weather after calling ahead and being assured that there would be no problem with availability. We arrived and they had planned on putting us in a back in site. We are a 43’with a Jeep in tow. After as short discussion, the other management told the “receptionist “ to put us in one of the pull thru sites.. Mind you, the full timers have been moved, and there is not another traveling RV in site(sight),the park is empty! I was then told there would be an up charge above posted rates! Are you Fuc@##&** me! It isfreezing and I just drove thru NYC to get here! Sure ok..but then they also add a reservation fee... What?... for both nights!!! I just want everyone to know what to expect from these people. Total Rip off! I love Gettysburg and love taking Hwy 15 but after this, I will find another route to avoid thes3 type of people.

This was our second visit to the park. I believe it is under new ownership or at least new management. We arrived in mid November, well after season, and in fact the water was being turned off. We had called the day before asking about availability and were told no problem. We called a few hours before arriving and while checking in(30 degree weather) that the rate would be above published on website rate of $76 and would be a back in site. Mind you there s not another transient RV in Site( sight) and we asked for one of the many pull thru sites available. After getting all of the 3 persons there to chime in, they decided that one was available for our 43’ rv with tow, but would be a premium.....Total BS! $90 a night! Are you fuc&$#* kiddind Me! On top of that they charged me aReservation fee! For both nights!,,, really! I was tired and had really no choice.. so here I am making sure everyone knows what type of people you will be dealing with when staying here. What a shame, I love Gettysburg and Hwy 15 from 78 to 95, but I hate getting ripped off.

Great spot for everyone. Walk/jog/bike to the National Park and auto tour. I jogged two mornings in the battlefields, my husband went to museum by himself, and the 3 and 5 year olds could have played at the campground all day and been happy. Mini golf is fun and well-kept, playground needs some updating and maintenance but very unique and fun. There are several spots right at the playground. Pond for fishing. Laundry very clean and cheap. We were able to get 50% off with passport America. We stayed in an end site by the playground in 25 ft travel trailer. Not too busy midweek October.

Closest campground to the visitor center and battlefield but you pay for it. Stayed a week to see the sites. Space between sites was acceptable but could be wider. No cable. Wifi was stable as the antenna was on our site. Not enough speed to stream consistently but works well for general needs i.e. email, surfing. Staff was nice and the provide a bundle of wood and a s’mores kit upon arrival. Would stay here again.

This campground was nice but a little pricey. We paid $80/night for a holiday weekend. Sites were pretty level, gravel. Roads were narrow and some spots near the playground looked close together. Store was well stocked and open late and the folks were friendly. The checkin area’s a little hairy but manageable. Basketball court, putt putt, corn hole, pool, and playground. Lots of entertainment-dj, craft, parade. Very close to visitor’s center, less than 1 mile. The over all feel is a little cramped but like I said, our spot had nice room.
