I am writing this due to all KOA’s need to get on the same page. Meaning myself and wife and our little yorkie visited this koa for the second time. First let me say the campground it’s self is a very well kept campground all the people that are employed are always very helpful. But we have been coast to coast and have given KOA ALOT OF MONEY. and we have never kicked out of any of there camp stores due to our little dog. In fact they always said he is welcome to come in. And to boot he was in his stroller. The reason given was because of they sell food. While we take him into Walmart Publix and many other stores that sell food and have never been told to leave for that excuse unacceptable. For this reason we will be staying at the two other beautiful campgrounds on either side of the Koa. If you have a pet just wanted to let people know this.

We stayed 4 nights. The campsite was exceptionally nice. All hookups good. Great location at the beach and with a very nice swimming pool and hot tub. Their service included an ability to text both directions. We sent a text to the office to get firewood. They replied by text. And they delivered the requested firewood. No having to walk to the office. In our case, the WiFi was excellent. We updated our apps and we streamed videos. The site also had good ATT and Verizon service. The price is high and the quality of the campsite makes it a good value. The office staff were friendly and excellent.

Nice site to camp when you're exploring the Outer Banks. Plenty of pull throughs, a mixture of cement and sod, rentable cabins. It's situated just yards from the beach behind the dunes and the west entrance is right on Highway 12 giving you easy access to Hatteras, Ocracoke (by ferry) and Kitty Hawk and parts north. Bath houses near the beach were a little messy, but mostly with water and sand. Seasonal pricing can be steep (we paid $150/night for a pull-through). Helpful staff, excellent store and really good cafe for breakfast and lunch (locals visit often apparently).

Good location. Level sites. Slightly above average site spaces. Hugh pool. Walk to beach. Did not use bath house. No trees and no shade. Would come back.

Stayed 4 nites. Good location. Clean campgrounds & facilities right at beach. Only disappointment was that bathroom/showers that were pointed out as closest to our site were actually closed for renovation. WiFi is nonexistent & cable had 50% of channels as total snow

Been here for 4 days 3 nights. They don’t not clean their bathrooms! I tried to talk to the manager about it, but he was more worried about giving his number out to the younger staff. This place is not worth the money!!!! Go down the road to a better place, save yourself the hassle!!

Our absolute favorite place to go to in the OBX! We "roughed" it a few days down south at Frisco NPS, and decided that we would see if we could get into this KOA to overnight and do laundry.....we didn't leave for several days as we had a blast! The staff was very accommodating considering we did not have any reservations. We went from dry camping at Frisco to glamping at this KOA. I mean we rented a golf cart, didn't cook a meal because the onsite "Shelia's Country Kitchen" was awesome, etc. We beach bummed it out and it is truly a resort because there is not a single reason to leave the property. Fires on the beach at night, heck I am ready to go back now! BTW, bathhouses were clean and so was the laundry room. Everything is level as it is at the beach.

A fabulous park! Great, clean amenities, friendly staff, lovely beach. The pool was nice and clean, only complaint is no shade available at the pool unless under the pavilion, some umbrellas would have been lovely. The sites were small but well maintained. We were there in the off season so my only complaint would be that they place people side by side when the entire row was vacant. Some additional space and not right on the road (felt like we were only display during the nightly train) would have made it that much nicer of a stay.

This truly is one of the best KOA parks we have stayed in. Perfect location, continuously being upgraded, beautiful beach, impeccable facilities, central to all the must see sites of the OBX, exceptionally pet friendly and the most courteous helpful staff you could encounter in any park. Great camp store and the cafe opens tomorrow!
