Best KOA we have stayed at. Almost empty in the off season. Large pool and hot tub, very well maintained and clean. Very friendly staff. Right on beach!

Stayed in the off season when mostly empty, though still very high price. Could see it being a bit overwhelming when full. Most "resort" feeling rv park I've been to. A large pool and an extra large hot tub in a large composit deck open year round, very well maintained. Cafe closed in off season. Large store, for an rv park. Fabulous individual room showers. They own the lot and fishing pier on the sound side, and the park is on the ocean side right on the beach.

Most spaces are pull through with gravel drives, but some are entirely grass. We got a deluxe site which had a concrete patio, patio furniture, and a coveted picnic table. All furniture looked new.

Well-placed between the Cape Hatteras lighthouse to the south and the Wright Brothers Monument to the north, for historical day-trips.

This is not a bad campground. Nice pool, restaurant, store, and beach access. Plenty of wifi access and clean bath houses. Pricey, but gave a 20% discount for active military.

Gave them 1 star because there's nothing less. I'm a disabled vet and haven't been able to go to the beach in a while. Came here with my family across 3 sites. We picked the best (according to them). We all arrived together and set up to find were parked against several cabins of drunk men. They proceeded to harass the women and cuss in front of our small grandkids. koa (sucks) wouldn't move us unless we left 2 days early. They talked to the men which made it worse. They were saying they were going to slash our tires. We packed and left. Been in the park 2 hrs tops. BEWARE THEY PICK DRUNK FISHERMAN OVER FAMILIES! I'm A VIP with koa or was.

Many of the internals roads are not paved. The sites do not have concrete pads. We tried to stay here, but our 40' coach got stuck in the mud trying to access our site!! We ended up next door at Camp Hatteras. Same price, but a very pleasant place to stay. No comparison to the KOA.
