The staff is TOP NOTCH!! Easy bi-rig access. Good updated facilities. Big private new closed door showers showers and toilets. Good playground for children and walk/bike path along the adjoining creek. If traveling east pass the Missoula KOA which has terrible big-rig access with no turn around dead ends and a terrible staff. These folks are great and the facility is great.

This is an average KOA. Clean, level spots, perfect for an overnight stay. We were able to get a pull through and did not have to unhook. People working here were nice. They had a pool, laundry and bath facilities which we did not use. I would stay here again with no issues.

Over priced mediocre campground. Location is at high elevation in Butte so weather is cool in summer. Spaces are tight with little or no shade. Facilities are tired and in need of TLC. New management is not customer friendly.

This is something of a lesser KOA. There is a small heated pool and there’s a good supply of gravel on all the roads and sites. Sites are very close together. I can touch the slide out of the next-door camper from my window. The Wi-Fi is excellent with the park half full. Not much in the way of shade trees.

Butte, MT KOA Journey 1601 Kaw Ave. Butte, Mt 59701 406-782-8080 $70.39/ night before KOA discount Packed dirt site with gravel in between. Good WiFi, Cable TV Reasonable spacing, but not spacious Pool and laundry were clean. Playground looked nice for kids. Unruly youngster in the pool with poor adult supervision detracted from that experience.

Put us in the bark pArk even though we have no pets. Dogs left out tied up to harass the neighbors. A bunch of people occupied the visitor center just behind the campground and set off fireworks for four hours When the fireworks started hitting my rig I asked the park management for help. They said there was nothing they could do. I called the police myself t to get the situation handled. Poor management. Rule unenforced small cramped campsites. Do yourself a favor and find someplace else to stay.

Typical middle grade KOA. Full hookups. Older sites are cramped with some trees. Newer sites are a gravel lot, no trees no grass, and not much larger. Not our cup of tea, but if you like KOA then this is probably okay.

As others have noted, the spots are gravel and some were not as level as others. There are some fantastic bike/jog paths right off the camp site. While they are right near the highway, there is a wildlife refuge there so good for bird watching. There is a dog walk with bags for easy clean up. The sites are crammed in but most people aren’t stopping here for their vacation, this is for the one the way stops when you need to rest. We didn’t use them, but there are laundry facilities. The WiFi was good. I couldn’t get their code to work but I was happy to buy the premium WiFi so that I could work while we were there. There was a playground that my kids enjoyed, as well as a mining exhibit area at the park entrance. You can get instacart to the campground and they will bring it to the site. We had a site with a concrete pad, picnic table and two rocking chairs so that was nice to have a place to have meals and enjoy being outside. While in Butte, you should drive up to see the memorial, the mountain overlook up passed the elementary school, the beautiful building with copper trims. We would definitely utilize this park again if we needed to stop in this area.
