We arrived on a Monday afternoon and had a choice of about 20 nice wooded sites. Sue and I have managed campgrounds for 15 years and this is the first park we have ever stayed that did not take reservations, I love it! Good for the park and good for the camper. Great no nonsense park. Great for families and couples. Not a party park! Spending a week and wish it could be more, our hats off to the owners and the staff!

I suggest arriving around noon which is checkout time. They have an overflow parking area if needed. I was able to get the last full hookup site at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday. Busy place. Gravel roads and sites. Didn't use the Chinook after setting up because the bus system is so good. FYI, no rv's are allowed on Cadillac Mountain. No signs telling you that until you're at the entrance. Get as close to the entrance if you plan to use the busses unless you like to walk, this place is big. I picked up several ota television stations. Verizon 2-3 dot LTE. I'd stay here again.

Yes, the reservation system is really weird but park is not bad. We got good satellite reception. They had free wifi. Large pull thru gravel sites. Their pool was their gem, large and beautifully maintained

A fair warning- they do NOT take credit cards or reservations. Place is a first come first serve and you have to hunt down the campsite you want. I have never seen anything like that! The place looked clean but god forbid you are in a class C or A and need to use your rig as transportation- you lose your spot! No thank you. Drove through but then drove out. Don't waste your time- stick with a place you can make reservations.

The tentsites way up on the hill have fantastic views. I give it five stars based on that. The campground is also quiet. Great stargazing! Clean restrooms. Rate was $26 plus $6 tax (?) on a Friday night in late September.

Loved this campground! Stayed in early September $38 cash for electric/water wooded site--many to choose from. Ocean view sites were too cramped for us. Big bonus: free bus service to downtown bar harbor & Acadia which allowed our dog on board, avoiding the big challenge of finding scarce Rv parking in downtown bar harbor 3 walkable restaurants+ lobster dinner for 2 delivered for $30. We highly recommend mainly meats restaurant for breakfast & lobster dinner, far better than the lobster pound across the street. Propane available + free air for tires. Will definitely return!

Beautiful campground with lovely wooded sites. They don't take reservations so it makes it possible to find a space here. You drive in and pick out the site of your choice!
