This could be the greatest park in the US but it is hard to actually know for sure because these people will not answer their phone or call you back when you leave a message. Go find a park that cares!

I was so looking forward to staying at one of the few 5 star campgrounds on ¿ìÈýƽ̨. I need to keep looking. First thing I noticed was the road noise. However, that was occasionally drowned out by our neighbor who was running his propane heater 10 feet from our bedroom. When that noise stopped the train would be going by to supplement the road noise. Our site was so close to our neighbor that when we put our bump outs out they were 3 feet from each other. Most of the sites are not that close, but I am reviewing my site. I rated this a one because no one reads 3 star ratings, which this probably should be, but I wanted people to read that the wifi is terrible. There were 5 wifi sites. Four of them were terrible. One site, 1-21 had a very strong signal, but the passwords did not work. Probably the reason that it was a strong signal is that no one was on it.
It is OK for a stopover, but I would not stay there a long time because of the wifi. Six years ago people mentioned the same problem. It is time to get it fixed.

Super place to stay, but if you want shade...there isn't much. Loads of nature walks near the lakes, double swings near the water....watch the sunset...too bad their WIFI is so weak. Most of the time I couldn't even go to my email.
Friendly staff with amenities to frequent.

Great park and perfect place from which to visit Savannah and the area! The park hosts are super and have bent over backward to fit us in during a busy time. Amenities are great and the there is lots of room between sites. Definitely will be back!

Nice crushed rock pads. Interior loop road had a few low
spots. Club house is a nicer mobile home/ prefab house with big screen
television which receives ESPN. Exercise room and three bathrooms.
Unusual but it works. My only complaint is the RV power/electric
pedestal at the sites aren't enclosed. I believe any and all exterior
electric outlets/pedestals shouldn't be open to the elements. And of
course it was raining. Maybe it's just me, but it seems to be a safety
issue. I know I was hesitant to plug in but I did and everything
worked.

We had to take an overflow site which was under a huge Live Oak Tree, with bamboo growing in our back yard, palms to the side, and next to an office (with showers and restrooms) and we had the office wifi 24/7!!!
And because it was overflow parking, we had only water and electric, but at a cut rate
Actually it was beautiful, and enjoyable, and we'd do it again in a heartbeat!!! Loved our stay

This campground is on a 200+ acre ranch with wide open spaces, large beautiful shade trees, walking trails, 4 ponds/lakes, sparking clean pool, clubhouse, laundry, fantastic staff and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Because of the openness, it is easy for any size rig to get in and out. We needed a space 73' long. When we called for reservations we were told that would not be a problem. We have been told this before only to find out that was not the case, so we were a little skeptical. When we arrived we were surprised to see that all we had to do was drive to our 75' long space and pull right in. Our nearest neighbor was about 30' away to the side, with no one to the rear for about 200' due to the layout of the park. Most parks of this size would cram in 5 times as many spaces as Red Gate. They have really made it convenient and comfortable for the RVers. There are some event venues on the property that makes it desirable for families and groups to come stay at the park and have meetings or weddings at the beautiful Mackey House with its fountains/ponds and old plantation charm. We will definitely be back, whether it is for a day or a month. Thank you Red Gate for such a great park....Can't wait to return.

Absolutely excellent stay, everything updated, clean, and quiet. The Staff arranged for the Tour Company to come and pick us up in the morning saving us cab fare to and from the Historic District. We enjoyed the In ground gunite Pool, Laundry Facilities and manicured grounds. I highly recommend this campground to anyone, especially if you are traveling with children, there is a playground, and pond to fish in, a small Farm area with goats and chickens. We will stay here again when traveling through this part of Georgia! Don't go to the Biltmore RV Park, there is no comparison.

Nothing like what they portray on their website.
