You cannot beat the location if you want to spend time in Savannah or just passing through. Easy to get to and close to Interstate. Beautiful grounds, lovely to walk around and enjoy the horses, goats, and small lake. Manager was very accommodating and always available to answer questions. Camping area is mostly a large open space without shade but a few lucky spots get shaded. Some electrical unit pedestals are low to ground & if you have a EMS, it won芒鈧劉t fit. Thankfully we had an extension for it. We lost water one morning for a few hours, something to do with flooding?? Not sure, but it was somethng the park maintenance people took care of quickly. For Savannah visitors, the old town trolley tours will pick you up & bring you back to the campground. Laundry and bath facilities were clean and kept up.

This is a wonderful place to stay. So near Savannah and everything it has to offer. This setting here is so relaxing on this 440 acre area. Plenty of things to do from fishing to a beautiful swimming pool to swinging near the pond, walking, looking at all the farm animals and horses & the beautiful huge Live Oak trees. Lots were spacious and the staff was wonderful. Very comforting place to stay that is very inviting. We will definitely be back again. 冒鸥藴艩

Wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Large open parking spots, Farm setting, and free to roam the large property. Will stay again when back in the area!!

Stayed for 4 nights en-route to Florida - and since this was where we 芒鈧揹e-winterized芒鈧 perhaps my happiness was due to once again having potable water on hand! Seriously, we enjoyed this park very much. The pros: WIDE sites. On-site propane available. Nice clubhouse for hanging out. Close to shopping and downtown (complete with convenient park pickup for the trolley), approx 1.3 miles of walking on gravel roads, beautiful horses and cute goats, plus a salt water pool we just weren芒鈧劉t hardy enough to try in January. The cons: Railroad noise several times a night. Occasional military helicopters or jets from the base nearby. Infrequent 芒鈧搑otten egg芒鈧 smell. None of the cons bothered us - our cat wakes us more all night than the train, and since our son is a pilot, we are used to always looking up anytime we hear a plane, LOL. We will definitely stay here again.

Easy. This place was just plain easy. From the location, to the easy access of spaces, to check in, to the large lots but small number of guests, to the bucolic pastoral setting, this place made RVing easy. Like the previous comments stated, it芒鈧劉s very close to downtown and both the trolley and Uber/Lyft are accessible and affordable. If you are in town to check out Savannah this is the best place to stay. We will be back here again.

We booked a week芒鈧劉s stay at this beautiful place over the 4th of July weekend. On our way to the campground we encountered a catastrophic malfunction with our Class A. We were forced to cancel our stay on the day we were scheduled to arrive. We were given understanding and concern for our situation. We were refunded our deposit and not charged any fees. We certainly would have understood if we were charged since the week was over the July 4th holiday. This is a clear indication of their sincere care for their customers. We will definitely stay at this super Campground as soon as we can. Plan a stay here. You will not regret it.

We found Red Gate to be a pretty nice place to stay. Not sure why the previous poster was so negative, is it perfect?? No but you really can't be the location. The staff was very friendly, courteous and extremely informative. One downfall was the sewer smell we detected occasionally in the middle of the open area. For us having the shuttle pick us up and drop us off for the Old Town Trolley was definitely appreciated! We enjoyed the farm setting, plenty of room to roam around. We stayed here 5 nights in a fifth wheel and if we return to the Savannah area we will stay here again! Oh be sure and check out the Mackey House! Outstanding!!

This is the worst campground imaginable. Don't waste your time. No shade, electric power is unstable, there is a hostel staff member who actually harassed us, and the bathroom is a glorified outhouse...dirty. I didn't see any of the beauty that's pictured on their website either. Never again.

The pros of this park are: location, only 6 miles from downtown Savannah. Trolley tours will pick you up at the park and bring you back. Uber downtown for 2 is around $12. Friendly and helpful staff. FHU, Good WiFi. Country setting. Now the cons: Noisy, railroad close by, Army airfield with helicopters flying at night and road traffic. Very Dusty, roads are crushed sandstone that leaves a cloud behind when anyone drives by. Sewer retention pond is right in the middle of the park with camper sites all around it. Occasionally you could smell it. Given all that, we would stay again although it is a bit pricey for what you are getting. However, we have not seen any better in the area with the exception of Skidaway State Park and they don't have FHU and are 30 min from downtown. Bring your bug repellent. Sand gnats will eat you alive virtually everywhere.

Large old farm with 5, count em, 5 ponds, a paddock with horses and goats, an enclosure with chickens and bunnies. Shuttle to town will save you expensive parking rates downtown. Nice people. Great WiFi fast and always available. Will revisit for sure.
