The Camp grounded itself looks pretty nice. no laundry showers or play area. The base is pretty good but somewhat spread out. People were very friendly in our check-in. It would be nice to see some maintenance done.Phone has changed to 571-801-5851.

If your trying to make reservations the number is incorrect on the page. You need to dial 571-801-5851, hope this helps but it’s not much of a campground. They have about 15 sites with full hookup right inside the back gate. You can tell the base commander won’t put any money or time in it, needs to be cleaned up. Not sure what the Host does but sure wish we could take that job for about a month. It needs mowed, tree limbs picked up and removed and a good over hall in cleanup. We stayed at 15 bases this winter and this is by far the the only one I would even think of giving a bad score too. If your just coming to just visit Savannah for a couple days it’s worth the stop since it is so close but to sit back and enjoy the campsite might want rethink.

As the other reviews say, this RV park has its limitations. The first being that the phone number for HAAF Outdoor Recreation has changed, and it hasn’t been updated in this app and elsewhere. The new number is (571) 810-5851. Although the sites have FHU, there is no bathhouse or laundry at the campground. The PX and the fitness center are over 4 miles away, on the other side of the post. Another negative is that some of the lots are subject to flooding when it rains. The campground itself has some charm, with Live Oaks and Spanish Moss.

Great campground. Easy access. Quiet. Flat. Would definitely go back.

Small campground on the South side of Hunter Army Airfield. 16 sites with FHU. We called ahead to see if early check in was possible. We were told we couldn’t check in prior to 2 PM but we could wait at the pavilion area. We drove through the campground to check out our assigned site only to find a mud pit. They were able to move us. Staff was kind and helpful. The whole facility needs work.

Very basic. Shower/toilets available at base gym 3.5 miles away. Nice host

This is a very basic campground with no facilities. It’s noisy during the week due to work trucks on the road nearby. I give it five stars because the campground host was very helpful when we had a power issue. No fault of the power pole. We just had to figure out where our breaker box was and he stayed with us until we could find it via YouTube. He’s a good guy and takes good care of the place.

Not quiet, but spacious, with a gorgeous dock/water front park walking distance away. 2nd stay with no issues. Love being on base with all the safety & military amenities. They even called to warn us about the impending weather.

Nice quiet level shaded site. Only 15 sites just within gate. Gentlemen mowing was very respectful with regards to who was in their camper and who was not. Horse flies were tenacious when walking our dog. Base golf course was inexpensive, but needed some help. Very close to Savannah. Price was right.
