Park is beautiful, lots of wildlife, clear springs, awesome staff, but Im giving 3 stars because we only stayed for one night due the infestation of TICKS that this park has. I have two dogs came with no ticks or fleas, I found over 40 ticks on my pitbull and over 35 ticks on my german shepherd no exaggeration. My boyfriend had 6 ticks on him and I found 3 on me. I would love to be back but they need to do something about this tick infestation they have.

One of our favorite state parks. Good sized site with lots of trees. Seeing the manatees was great. Also snorkling and canoeing there. Must see park in Flordia.

Our second visit here. We were in site 58 which could possibly be one of the best sites in the campground. We did the dog Bark Ranger program. Had fun getting pictures with Ranger Jenn. Took the Scenic Trail which was nice and the nature trail. Both had nice interpretative signs. We saw manatees in the spring. Not as many as last time but they are always cool to see. So Peaceful. One drawback is there is no cell service. Like zero. It’s sad that it’s so important, but it is. You can get some wifi on the patio at the Spring. Lots of signal in Chiefland if you go in for dinner or groceries.

We spent one night here during spring break 2021 and loved the campground. Private sites in the trees were beautiful. Very clean.Heard barred owls at night. Loved walking along the boardwalk in the early morning.

We loved staying at this park. Staff were friendly and we easily pulled straight into our campsite in our 25ft RV. I was concerned when I discovered It was listed as a small site after I booked it but we had plenty of room so not sure why it was listed as such. It was a short walk to the crystal clear springs from our campsite and we took a super refreshing swim. It was very peaceful and quiet. We used the fire ring for an evening fire. We saw plenty of deer in the campground, squirrels and woodpeckers. Would love to have stayed for longer. We didn’t use the shower block here so can’t comment on that. It was pretty sandy/dusty at this spot so outdoor mats at the front door, our feet did get grubby and don’t forget the bug spray of course!

Very nice campground. Nice sites. Magnolia2 section bathroom a little old. Used shower in trailer instead. Wonderful boardwalk along spring. Saw manatees every day. Saw momma and baby. They swam right near the one lookout points on boardwalk. Biking trails through park. Deer walk right through your sites don’t seem bothered by people. Turtle hole along road near dump station. Saw him coming out of hole one day. Great spring for swimming crystal clear. Huge hole at end where it drops down really deep.

Large site several empty sites on both sides. Picnic area next to the campground was very busy when we first got there. It was very clean, I never made it to the restroom so I can’t speak for that area. We were there in mid August and I would like to return when it’s cooler. There were a lot of deer and squirrels to keep our dog entertained.

Quiet and well maintained campground with nearly new bathhouse. Sites are well spaced but on gravel/sand so some debris gets dragged into the rv. Park is very nice and it’s main attractions are walking distance from the campground.

Stayed in Manatee Springs State Park for 5 days to see one of these elusive creature. Never see one, probably wrong season! Our walk-in site #61 is shaded and very spacious for 35’ trailer/vehicle combo. Sites are uneven and sandy. For around $20/night for electric/water hookup, we liked the bargain. Bathroom was dated with strange layout but within short walk. Communication via very weak 3G cell network, and WiFi is only at rental concession stand. The Manatee SP has little bit of everything; crystal clear spring for kayaking, beautiful swimming hole completed with synthetic boardwalk, scenic hiking/biking trails close by. Yeah, everything in beautiful smallish scale. Deers walk past our campsite, squires on our table, alligators on floating vegetation and tree stumps, turtles on the road. Very nice and quiet stay, felt like a small Florida vacation.

Stayed there 3 nights mid-June 2018 in our small travel trailer. Nice, wide spaces, with good separation from neighbors. Standard water/electric hookups. Quiet and nicely secluded. Springs are cool, clear, refreshing - a great way to chill in the late afternoon. Tons of wildlife; you don’t have to look hard, they’ll come to you. No reliable internet connection - a plus for us. Bugs - including ticks - were NOT a problem.
