Not big rig friendly. We are in a 42’ motor home with a tow. We were placed across a side street so had to enter main entrance, check in, unhook tow, drive through campground with tight turns, exit campground going left onto highway, take next left, then a right to enter tight area to maneuver into our spot. Layout has campers close together surrounding a grassy square. That was the only plus for our dogs. Office staff was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Cottages on perimeter make for tight maneuvering as well, especially when vehicles are parked in roadway. Will never return.

This is a well maintained RV Resort with full amenities directly on the Gulf of Mexico providing incredibly beautiful sunsets, with the best onsite laundry of any RV Resort laundry we have experienced in our nearly 3 years of full time rving. Although weather was not pool friendly during our visit, their pool area, deck, tiki bar and outdoor area looked like it could be a good time in good weather times. Attached to laundry area is a screened in tv area with tables and chairs as well as an indoor common roof also with a tv, seating , games, and a full kitchen. This would be a great gathering area for a group. The front office also contains a very well equipped store with beach and fishing gear as well as a large selection of beer, cider, and wine as well as snacks all at reasonable prices considering grocery is a distance. That being said...we were not actually in the "park" but across the side-street, so a bit out of the "normalcy" of an rv park. This actually allowed for a much larger site than available in the rv resort proper. But know that you will have CONSTANT road noise as you are, quite literally, a few feet from HWY 98 and it is 24/7 traffic. Although there is a beautiful beach directly across the street that Carrabelle RV Resort advertises as "dog-friendly", be sure that it is NOT. We stayed 3 weeks and in that time were approached multiple times about our dogs, that we only let off leash far and well away from ANYone else. We were passively threatened by a woman self admitting to watching the beach with binoculars, and were regaled with tales of laws and legal battles, but the worst was the recount of two recent dog shooting stories. All in all, the down sides are of no fault of the Carrabelle RV Resort. I would say this is a good stop for a night or two. After 3 weeks of road noise, my nerves were shot and I was ready for a good night sleep uninterrupted by trucks, motorcycles, and loud speeding cars!! We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

If you get nervous or struggle fitting your camper or RV into tight spots, this campground may not be your best option. During the week we stayed here, I witnessed an RV pulling a trailer collide with a slide out on another camper trying to make a turn an then watched his trailer tire explode. These sites are well maintained and clean but they are very small so maneuvering your equipment would not be for the rookies reading this. This campground does not permit you to pick specific sites as they apparently are all individually owned through a COA. Once you get your equipment in however, you’ll be pleased with there nice pool, laundry facilities, friendly staff and the very short walk to Carrabelle Beach across the road. The cost to stay was extremely affordable.

It is an error to say this Park can handle 65 ft length. They REQUIRED that we unhook our trailer OUTSIDE the park before going to our pullthru site. It probably is a great park if you are not over 40ft total length. Traffic often blocked by rigs having to drop/connect toads as no room at sites to do so.

August 2020. We are Marc & Leslie from Road Notes RV. This resort is absolutely beautiful. Very well kept, with super friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay with all of the amenities it had to offer, including the beautiful beach directly across the street.

September 2019 stay. 40ft 5th wheel. Five star beach front park in every way! Beautifully paved and landscaped. Nice pool area. Missed opportunity - poolside music and tiki bar !? Will definitively go back again.

Very nice park. Pet friendly, across from a pet friendly beach. Very clean and staff were very friendly and professional. Space were a bit close but were concrete pads. Will stay here again!

Very pretty park used mostly by big rigs for all winter-friendly folks who are mostly from northern states escaping the cold! The sites are very close to each other. Our site was level. I used the laundry and that was clean and nice-everything worked well. My beef was the bathrooms were not cleaned once in our 2 night, 3 day stay-yuck!

Friendly staff, nice clean place. A little disappointed with the cable (poor signal) even though they tried to fix it. Beach right across the road to relax. We would definitely come back, but the next trip up here will be further West to Destin area.

Beautiful park. I gave 4 stars because Internet barely works and the pool isn't heated.
Otherwise fabulous place.
