Nice park with recent upgrades. Only downsides are access is limited at night to one gate and that info isn’t clearly stated AND the long road in either direction has a 15-25moh speed limit that is fully enforced.

$36.52 for pull through , water and electric, 50/30 amp. Asphalt with a picnic table, fire pit. Quiet, lake within walking distance . Full hookup available . Asphalt was broken up a bit but the site is level. Stayed one night on our way to Savannah Georgia . A bit pricey compared to some state parks but well kept.

Called ahead to see what arriving after hours procedures were. They have someone in entrance booth 24/7. Park is about 2 miles off I 65, but it is another 5 miles into the park until you get to camping areas. It was pouring rain so not much exploring done. My son took a shower, said water was hot and shower area was fairly clean. Paid in the morning as gentleman in entrance book did not handle the payment part. The park has archery, equestrian areas, BMX bike area. Swimming area did not look appealing but it is January so may be better in the summer. It was quiet in the park and I felt safe. We camped in a motorhome, wish we were given a pull through site as had to disconnect our tow vehicle.

Very nice trail hiking. Campgrounds are in need of repair. Our site kept blowing breaker. Come to find out it was actually 20 amp. So we have to turn off AC to run microwave or electric water heater. On the good side we got a nice shady spot. It’s B50 but wouldn’t hold a reall big rig. Ours is 27’. Renovating the campsites next Oct-April and will be closed . Overall good place and it will be really nice once renovations are complete .

Really nice park, bathrooms are adequate, no place for dogs to run but plenty of walking areas. Low AT&T signal. Neighbor dog was left and barked for hour’s

The park itself is great!! The campground is not the best. Confusing layout and the sites are close together. The place could use a total revamp.

Site 24. Was okay. Pretty level, fire pit was way behind our site. A lot of hiking and biking (especially mountain)trails are quite long but are nice. The bathrooms are clean and they have great hot showers. But they need to be replaced, rusty chipped paint, etc. a lot of shopping near by, not bad drive to Birmingham. In Birmingham go to sloss furnaces, botanical gardens and museum of art. They all have free parking and free to get in. Worth going to all, especially sloss.

Same as. Melanies review. Needs total upgrade. Had a 40 ft Motorhome. This park is more for TT’s. Deteriorating asphalt pads are softening and your jacks with pads will sink some. On the bright side. Peavine Falls was a pretty site after tracking down a steep highly rooted and rocky trail. Andy’s Produce Market in Pelham offered great fresh veggies.

The park and surrounding areas are beautiful, but the campground is a big disappointment. The sites are close together and not very level with crumbling chunks of asphalt. Our electrical box cover was literally hanging off by one corner hinge. The bathhouse facilities are old which is excusable, but they were not clean. Rodent droppings on the floor, tile missing, etc. This could be an amazing place, but badly needs an overhaul. Positive is that it has full hook-up sites.
