For Heart of Glacier RV Park and Cabins: Our neighbor decided to walk her dog through the park and was suddenly attacked by two German Shepard mix dogs. She was screaming at the dogs while they attacked her dog which was on a leash. Very distressing to watch! Meanwhile, the dogs owner came running and grabbed one of her Shepards by the collar and yelled at the other one who seemed reluctant to quit. Finally, the attacking dogs owner started back to her 5th wheel with dog in tow while the victim鈥檚 husband yelled out 鈥淲hy aren鈥檛 your dogs on a leash?鈥� My wife then walked over and asked the same question. The dogs owner didn鈥檛 even look up to acknowledge any of this. Total silence! Fortunately the leashed dod appeared to be OK but the owner looked VERY shaken up! The next day, when the office opened, I went in and reported the incident. The campground employee replied, 鈥淥h, that鈥檚 the CAMPGROUND OWNERS DOGS. They never keep them on a leash. I鈥檒l speak to them about it later.鈥� So, if you camp with pets, you should draw your own conclusions about this primitive RV park. Camp somewhere else.

For Heart of Glacier RV Park and Cabins: I made my reservation on Feb. 22 2023 for July 2023. I called a few days later to cancel the reservation and was charged $50 !!! Their cancellation policy is $50 without mercy as how far advance you cancel - i cancelled 4.5 months in advance and was charged.

For Heart of Glacier RV Park and Cabins: We cannot say enough good things about this campground. Sites are great, many have trees. Grounds, bathroom and shower are well kept. Rave review for the managers we met. All friendly and helpful. We had hoped for a backpack trip but when that did not happen the manager was a tremendous help securing additional nights for us. Yes, this is our 芒鈧済o to芒鈧劉 place for Glacier.

For Heart of Glacier RV Park and Cabins: Nice quite campground with full hook ups and super close to the National park entrance! Staff very nice and welcoming. Clean bathrooms and great laundry room!

For Heart of Glacier RV Park and Cabins: I stayed at Heart of Glacier Campground for 4 weeks in July芒鈧t is an outstanding location, very close to St Mary entrance to Glacier NP. Park staff is very friendly and helpful. Site was level, campground was quite, maintained, is currently expanding; adding additional sites and bath houses.

For Heart of Glacier RV Park and Cabins: Pros - right outside of east entrance to Glacier NP. Also close to Many Glacier road. East area has no crowds, is quiet and natural. Full hookup w level sites. Cons - older campground run by family that is in desperate need of facilities. One women芒鈧劉s bath, one men芒鈧劉s bath. Laundry area is used by owners to clean cabin linens every day till late afternoon. Had to do laundry at 11:00pm. Sites are very tight and roads through campground can be difficult to navigate depending on how larger campers/motorcoaches decide to park.
