For Flat Top OHV Area: Literally just a parking lot for off road vehicles and their trailers. Stayed here for a week, casual come and go traffic during the week, but it gets crowded with trailers. Nice 360* views, but you also might feel a bit exposed up here. Well maintained gravel road to the parking lot. Keep to your left of the shelter when you enter so your rig is lined up with the parking lanes and you don芒鈧劉t have to turn sharp.
The lot is quite unlevel, but it芒鈧劉s doable. By my scouting it芒鈧劉s the best free place for rigs bigger than a teardrop. Good place to stop over for a night. Centrally located, Montrose has a lot of facilities. Great place to park to explore Ouray, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National park. Wonderful vantage point to watch the sunset.
