For Dam East Recreation Area: We stayed here for one night in the north loop (it芒鈧劉s referred to as McNair now I think) and really enjoyed our time on Illinois largest man-made lake. Sites were paved and level and had lots of space/privacy between them. Showers were clean. There is a bike trail that connects the different ACE campgrounds and the dam. Don芒鈧劉t miss the sunsets from the dam. While the trees were great for shade, they blocked out most of the view of the lake. This campground allowed for reservations. We had 3 bars LTE from Verizon at our campsite.
