GS
For Pettibone Park Resort: We stayed here five days and had a site on the river. The sites were nice and the grounds were pretty. It was fun watching all the fishing and pontoon boats plus the jet skis on the river.
Be aware this campground is in a flood zone and it had flooding issues three weeks before we got there. Our 50 amp electric box had some issues and we ended up having to use the 30amp because it kept tripping .
They may be short on help as our fire pit had some trash in it and we never saw sites being checked or cleaned after departures. WIFI was non existent but that may have been due to flooding issues.
The location was great to downtown and free concerts in the park and Mississippi River boat tour. Visit the Freighthouse restaurant for a great dinner and ambiance.
All in all we enjoyed our stay. With some extra care and attention this campground could be a five star stop.

Bob on the Rocks
For Pettibone Park Resort: This has to be the nicest private campground I have ever visited. Beautiful site overlooking a backwater of the Mississippi. Nicely treed and sites not too close together. Emasculatedly kept, nice showers, and trails through the camp. And, double bonus, it is in easy walking distance to downtown La Crosse. It芒鈧劉s not cheap, but worth it. How anyone would give it less than four stars is beyond me.

Buckwheat215
For Pettibone Park Resort: Parked in spot right on the west channel of Mississippi River. Beautiful spot but watch for trees dropping nuts at this time of year. Expensive for water/electricity but typical Wisconsin. Bath and shower clean but well-used. Staff terrific....friendly and helpful. Would probably look elsewhere if back in the area.
