For Gatewood Park: If you are a resident of the county, cost is less. If you camp here Sunday thru Thursday, cost is less. If you don芒鈧劉t want to park right on the river, the cost is less. Site #2 is right as you come into the park on the left & on the top of a hill - perfect spot for a 24芒鈧劉 Class C that isn芒鈧劉t towing. Only electric motors are allowed on the water so it芒鈧劉s super quiet. Swimming area is 2 years old & had a sandy bottom as well as a large trampoline - no dock. Bathhouse had 3 tiled showers for women (assume the same for men) with LOTS of hot water but no electric outlet for a hair dryer. It芒鈧劉s 10 miles off the interstate with the last 6 miles on a narrow blacktop road (no guardrails, markings on the road, no streetlights). However, the trip is definitely worth it - best done during the daylight for me. A winner of a county park! 640-350-2510 gets you directly to the park. Number listed with Allstays is administrative offices in town. PS - credit cards were taken over the phone for 6/20/2021 reservation

For Gatewood Park: Quiet spot with sites right by the water, but others have good views too. Manager was very nice. All sites have picnic tables, fire pits, trash cans, sewer, electric and water. Fishing boats and canoes available to rent. Showers are older but clean. Will stay again. $30/night

For Gatewood Park: Previous review is spot on. This place is a hidden gem. No motorized boats on the lake so it芒鈧劉s incredibly quiet. Generous disabled Veterans芒鈧劉 discount appreciated. We could have stayed here for a week. Worth the drive up the mountain roads, but nothing crazy that you can芒鈧劉t handle if you don芒鈧劉t go too fast. No Cell service but that芒鈧劉s not always a bad thing.

For Gatewood Park: A gem! One of our favorite spots out of many we have camped in. You can be RIGHT on the water with full hookups and the boat rentals are only $3 an hour. Not the easiest drive in with a big motorhome but the payoff is well worth it. No credit cards, cash/check only.
