For Buckhorn Store and Campground: Stayed one night and left. Bathhouse is horribly run down and dirty. Whole place is run down and in need of major maintenance and renovations. Make sure you have a good water filter. Well water is loaded with minerals and sulphur. No security and what appears to be locals drive through all hours day and night. Left and stayed at Allegheny Campground which is a mix of campsites and mobile homes.

For Buckhorn Store and Campground: The good:
- close to Douthat State Park
- nice grounds
- good firewood
The bad:
- marginal bathhouse facilities
- close quarters
- high sulfur content water
Buckhorne would likely be a fine place to stay if you bring your own bathroom and shower. Maybe we caught them early in the season but the men's bathroom was sketchy - one seat so there was a constant line ... and it was dirty (it wasn't cleaned over the weekend that I could tell).
