For Fruita Campground - Capitol Reef National Park: Wonderful setting. Comfort stations good. Old store was a real treasure with cinnamon buns and pies made daily. Staff helpful. Even though it was hot sites are shaded

For Fruita Campground - Capitol Reef National Park: Do not bypass this most fantastic NP on your way to Bryce or Arches!! We did several years ago and this month enjoyed a great 5 day stay. The staff is exceptional, the campground is well layed out with level paved pads.
The hikes are super with a level for everyone. The "old" Fruita walk with volunteer Rangers Rick and Lynn is fascinating, be sure to bring the kids as they have the keys to the old one room school house. A gem of the National Parks and the pies in the store are just like Grandmas!!
