For Ellsworth AFB FamCamp: I gave it two stars for one reason. This is purely an RV campground. I rode in on a motorcycle with no reservation. Read the instructions and self registered. $5.00 for a tent site. Let me list the 2 star reasons: 1. NO, I mean NO tent shade. It芒鈧劉s 95 out here and the only trees are in the RV sites. 2. There芒鈧劉s no water in the tent sites only in the bathroom at the drinking fountain, which brings me to the next point. 3. The bathhouse, while clean with showers, is 200 yards from the tents! The only people that didn芒鈧劉t bring a bathroom with them are the farthest away from the services they require. And last. 4. There is NO tent parking, and you芒鈧劉re NOT allowed to park on the grass! Hope this helps. In closing, great RV place, bad for tents.

For Ellsworth AFB FamCamp: Great overnight stay. Level concrete pad. Came in late Saturday did a self checking. October 2021. Base was quiet. Only found a bistro on base no other food options. Gas station and Commissary useful.

For Ellsworth AFB FamCamp: Absolutely beautiful FamCamp. Large level concrete pads, quiet, and pretty views of the surrounding hills.

For Ellsworth AFB FamCamp: This is a very nice base we芒鈧劉ll kept very clean! Camp sites are full hook up for 51 RV芒鈧劉s many are pull through! Bath house is clean and free laundry available. Commissary & Exchange available. There is a base gym & pool available as well didn芒鈧劉t make it ourselves but next sure over said it was very nice and a miles walk from famcamp if desired. SD was a beautiful place to visit did lots of motorcycle riding! Hope to return next year!

For Ellsworth AFB FamCamp: We stayed here for a few weeks. The price is right BUT there are some issues. We came in on a Friday to the commercial gate as per the website芒鈧�漺hen the new juneteeth holiday went in effect芒鈧�漷he gate was closed and we were directed to another gate on N. Ellsworth Road芒鈧��(this gate was CLOSED and looks like it had been for months芒鈧�漚lthough it would be a perfect gate access to the famcamp). Needless to say we had to disconnect our tow just to get turned around. Finally we found the 芒鈧渕ain gate芒鈧劉 access that was open on this Friday芒鈧�漺hich is on Liberty Blvd just off N. Ellsworth road. Needless to say our arrival was messed up and nobody in the guard shack knew how to correctly direct RVers. Oh, but that isnt all. We had to take RV to a service place in Rapid City芒鈧�漚fter our fiasco getting on base we decided to go out the main gate which was a pain also. We barely got around the narrow barriers w/our Class A. This is a single lane road and had we got stuck we wouldve held up traffic. So, before we left the famcamp for good we drove our tow to the guard shack and asked them to open barriers for our departure. Apparently nobody knew if the commercial gate was going to be open or not on Fri 2nd of July because of 芒鈧渇amily day芒鈧劉 prior to holiday. Our site was on the east (corrected) side which had dry grass and unappealing, the grill had old food remnants on it. And whatever you do, don't pull into the lot to check in芒鈧�漷here is no access from the check in area to the lot. You will have to back up your rig and pull out to go to the end of the street Dont know if we would stay here again.

For Ellsworth AFB FamCamp: Great place to stay. Super clean, quiet, easy to find. Love that the commissary,PX and pool were within a few blocks to use. Nice large paved pull through sites with grass next to it. Loved the free laundy and showers were very clean. Will definitely stay here again.

For Ellsworth AFB FamCamp: Ellsworth Famcamp is one of the nicest campgrounds I芒鈧劉ve had the pleasure of staying at. Staff super friendly sites are clean free Wi-Fi free laundry you can eat in the chow hall you can go to the gym you can swim in the indoor swimming pool and there芒鈧劉s a library exchange, Next-door is an air and space Museum that芒鈧劉s free that has about 52 different displays planes very cool.
