For East - Hartford Beach State Park: Beautifully maintained park with nice spacious campsites in the east campground We were here in September and maybe a fifth of the sites were full during the week. There were some nice hiking trails and easy access down to the lake. West campsites are closer to the lake but the roads are tight and the sites are small in thr west campground and that section is on sloped land. The east campsites are very flat and up on top of the ridge. Many but not all of the east campground has nice trees. We would return. Typical state park water fill station and dump stations are on the way in and out.
