For Scaroon Manor Adirondack Preserve: This campground is the site of a former upscale summer resort with a rich history, most notably its use for filming the 1958 movie 芒鈧揗arjorie Morningstar芒鈧 with Natalie Wood and Gene Kelly. The resort had a nine hole golf course and same was transformed into campsites in Morningstar Loop and Taylor Point Loop an accounts for the lush grassy fields within these loops. Those looking for shade and heavily tree sites will do well to reserve sites in the Amphitheater Loop. There is a tiny, but adequate beach in the campground on the shore of Schroon Lake. This is a relatively new campground; hence, all facilities and infrastructure are still in excellent condition. Beware that gnats and biting flies will be present and you will quickly learn the 芒鈧揂dirondack Wave芒鈧 in response.

For Scaroon Manor Adirondack Preserve: Clean bathrooms, private showers. Nice hiking trails. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Will be coming back.
