For Forest Lake Campground: This campround has been owned by the same family for 50 years. The children of the original campground owners, I believe, are making improvements to the property. When we first pulled into register, given the sight of the buildings in disrepair, I was worried. The campground owners were very welcoming and showed us to our spot. We booked for one night(there typically is a three night minimum but there was a cancellation) on our way through. My husband wanted to stay a second night since he felt very peaceful at the campground so we stayed a second night. We have Spectrum (Verizon cell towers) and had no service which honestly was wonderful. We look forward to returning and seeing the improvements to the property.
