For KOA Journey Grants: In addition to the rave reviews before me which I agree with 100%. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Tony was the best. If every KOA is like this, I鈥檒l stay at nothing else. Private very clean bathrooms. Everything is neat and tidy.

For KOA Journey Grants: East access from I40. Nice park with a very friendly staff. Interesting geological formations called volcanic blooms. They had food to order. There is a long lead time so order early. Nice flat pull through sites that are easy in and out

For KOA Journey Grants: If I could give more stars I would. We arrived in the midst of the balloon festival and no campsites were available anywhere. They found us an overflow site next to their home there. They serve a free pancake or cereal breakfast using the coolest pancake maker. You just wave your hand and viola you鈥檝e got 2 pancakes. These folks have owned this CG for 2 years and are working hard to keep it nice. Didn鈥檛 use the facilities. TV reception excellent

For KOA Journey Grants: We are in a 37-ft 5th wheel. Level gravel pad. Good hookups. About what you would expect along I-40. Best part and the biggest surprise is that you can order a meal delivered to your rig. Some of the best brisket and pork ribs we have had anywhere. We were here with a pretty good amount of wind, but the layout puts your door side on the protected side. They also serve a free breakfast, we just haven鈥檛 gotten to that yet. The people are great here. If you have time, check out the mining museum. It is worth a visit.

For KOA Journey Grants: Such friendly staff! Loved having free coffee and pastries for guest in the morning! We only stayed one night as we were passing thru but it was in clean! Very clean showers/restrooms. Plenty of hot water since everything froze while we were there, (end of November) definitely a great place to stop on a road trip! Easy on and off highway and not noisy at all! Two dog parks and a dog walk area, which needs a little tlc but still nice to let the dogs walk around.

For KOA Journey Grants: Had to stay 70 miles from Albuquerque during the Balloon Fiesta because everything else was booked (we planned late 芒鈧�� our bad). Super nice staff, free cookies on arrival, and a reasonably priced menu of home-cooked food that could be delivered to your rig. Sites were gravel and level. We didn芒鈧劉t have the right connector for the electric hookup (had a 3-prong, needed a 2-prong), and the staff let us borrow one with the solemn promise to return it! Take a left out of the park and go up the road to see the Glacial Era ice caves, the El Morro National Monument, and the New Mexico Badlands (El Malpais). At El Morro, you can see where Coronado芒鈧劉s soldiers carved their names into the rock in an early form of graffiti, sort of a 芒鈧揓uan was here in 1605.芒鈧� Very, very cool. This area is home to several First People芒鈧劉s pueblos, but they were all closed because of Covid. Go into town to El Cafecito for some dynamite New Mexican food. Giving this site 4 stars instead of 5 because it芒鈧劉s located just next to a horse corral, and the flies are murder. Not much the owners can do about it, but come prepared to do battle.
