For Red Rock Park: Kind of disappointed. Rough sites that are not always level. Dusty. Bathrooms need a complete remodel. On the plus side the price is reasonable and there are some great hiking trails with awesome rock formations.

For Red Rock Park: Agree with most other reviews. Smallish sites width wise but long rigs can fit. Good price that includes water and power. Baths are rustic with low volume of water in showers, but they do the job. Beautiful area right near red rock formations and hiking trails. Very quiet while we were here 2 nights in April. Beware of very bright lights spread around the campground - look for one away from them if you want it a bit darker. Do go to the museum and read the info in the displays - we learned a lot here. Wind kicks up a fine red dirt that can get into everything. Many wild dogs cruise the camp and surrounding areas regularly, but they stayed away from people and their pets on leash from our observations. Would stay here again.

For Red Rock Park: Reservation system is lacking details about individual sites. Most are RV sites, but #63 is too tiny for a car and even one tent. That was the one that I selected, based on the park map, as an rd spot for an 18鈥 trailer. Had to drive around and find a suitable one. Several open sites had 鈥渞eserved鈥 signs posted, but not 鈥63. Confusing number layout, but sites are fine, with 30 and 50 amp service, and water. Sharp burs are around, so don鈥檛 walk barefoot! Bathrooms and showers are fine, and pretty usual for rustic campground. Very quiet (no road noise). Other reviewers鈥 comments generally ring true.

For Red Rock Park: We were here in late October, 2022. Weather turned cold, but water spigots had heat tape on them, used my own extension cord to plug into the 20 amp circuit & it worked fine. Not sure how a previous poster measured the distance but anywhere in the main campground to the office was about a 5 minute walk, right at the trail to Churchrock, next to the post office. Now $25/night for 20/30/50 amp power, water & 2 dump stations in the park. Did not check out showers et al as we never use them. Lots of full timers but plenty of spaces for travelers available & overall the place is tidy. Sites are pretty simply laid out but you'll want to arrive during daylight, it could be confusing at night. The back part of the park is a HUGE rodeo grounds, arena & convention center with it's own RV park (which was closed for the winter) & what looked like hundreds of corrals. Some folks pulled in with seriously long professional equestrian trailers, they dry camped in the rodeo parking lot. It had rained & snowed for hours before our arrival but sand, gravel & asphalt sites were all accessible. No reason to skip this nice local RV park, especially considering most of the alternative campsites in the Gallup area are casinos (or Walmart).

For Red Rock Park: We made a reservation online through their Very Poor reservation system. It took us several attempts. When we arrived there was a long term camper in our reserved spot. We went to the office and nobody was there. We attempted several phone calls and nobody answered. Finally, after being forced to make other arrangements for the night we left a phone message asking for a refund. Nobody has called us back.

For Red Rock Park: Beautiful setting. Red, powdery dust, ants, deep holes from desert critters, large dog roaming, weeds, trash, and burrs. This could be great芒鈧ut it芒鈧劉s not. If you are here to hike to the beautiful ChurchRock it might be worth it for convenience. It is an interesting experience and I do feel safe but I wouldn芒鈧劉t come back.

For Red Rock Park: Still $22/night for 30/50 amp & water. Conditions the same as in previous reviews. Showers are usuable, but smelled of mildew. Beware of sand spurs in some locations. Did the beautiful and well maintained Church Rock Trail. Quiet at night. Would stay again.
