For CCC Campground: CCC Campground is part of the Dakota Prairie National Grasslands, located right next to Theodore Roosevelt National Park - North Unit. The one-mile dirt access road was in fair shape with a couple of washboard sections, but not bad going slow. Over the third cattle guard, stay on the left side. Big rigs fit fine in either loop, but be ready for soft pebble campsite pads. I observed several campers backing in, and no one got stuck. The smaller loop to the left had a few sites that appeared a little less soft. The picnic table, extra-large fire pit, and BBQ grill looked new. Great Verizon reception: 205 Mbps down, 25 Mbps up. Very quiet and excellent birding. Next time I'll stay much longer. The only negative affects astronomers: nearby fracking activity causes some night sky light pollution. $10 or $5 with interagency senior pass.

For CCC Campground: Visited 4-15-23 to check if snow was melted and it wasn芒鈧劉t muddy and ready to use. CCC second cattle guard is missing a bar so it gets really bouncy third cattle guard is missing the right hand fence post so it is not as wide as it appears keep to the left. The edges of the roads are soft avoid it if possible there is a few ruts but low clearance vehicle should be okay. Good access for campers tents and trail parking. A few sites in C loop are soft.

For CCC Campground: This was a very pretty campsite but I芒鈧劉m giving it only one star for a few reasons. The vault toilets were clean and well-stocked on our visit. There were no trash cans in the bathrooms or trash collection at the campground. There is water, but it is extremely bad-tasting so I芒鈧劉d recommend bringing your own to drink. Also, the campground is on the highway that is the main corridor for trucks and workers going to and from the Bakken Oilfields. So driving there you are in a steady stream of huge trucks. And we were awoken in the middle of the night by a group of young men who decided to start a huge bonfire and talk loudly in the site right across from us. We went to talk to them about it and they quieted down, but we got the impression that this was a place where they were used to being able to do this sort of thing. Maybe this place used to be a nice out of the way place to visit, but because of where it is, it is definitely not somewhere I芒鈧劉d like to stay again.

For CCC Campground: A really nice primitive campground just across the Little Missouri River from Theodore Roosevelt NP and convenient to the Maah Daah Hey Trail. Relatively level spacious sites. Plenty of sky for solar collection, sunsets, and star gazing. No hook ups. No lights. No water. Vault toilets. No showers. No dump station. No trash collection. No Verizon signal. We had just one set of neighbors on a week day in August! Campground fee: $6.00 Honor system. No attendant. Our favorite place yet this trip!
