For Choctaw Lake Rec Area NF Campground: We had such a great experience here that I almost didn芒鈧劉t want to leave a review to keep it from being discovered. It芒鈧劉s a bit far from the Natchez Trace Parkway and a little challenging to find (better signage would help), but well worth the effort.
The campground host Danny is the very definition of Southern hospitality. The lake is beautiful and there芒鈧劉s a walking trail around it. The sites are level and a few have full hookups. The restrooms are clean and the property is well maintained. The local Sheriff patrols through several times a night, so we felt secure despite the lack of an entrance gate.
According to Danny, the place is spectacular in the Fall and he never steered me wrong!

For Choctaw Lake Rec Area NF Campground: Very quiet small campground nestled along the lake. Sites are leveled. Bathhouse needs upgrade and some TLC.
