For Moose Lake State Park: We stayed here in August 2022 in site 25E which is one of the best sites. Our site was large and private although if your RV is over 30芒鈧劉 you will have to spend extra time leveling. The farthest loop has the best sites as they are heavily wooded with thick brush and are widely spaced. The main restroom building looks old on the outside but very clean, roomy and appears much newer on the inside. The lake is mainly for fishing, kayaking and canoeing and mostly encircled by the state park. The weather was cooler that weekend so we didn芒鈧劉t go down to the beach. Mosquitoes were not a problem. Plenty of hiking trails which mostly wind through the thick woods. We arrived Thursday around 4:30pm to find the welcome/visitors center closed with self check in signs. We found out the center closes at 4:00pm right when many campers typically start arriving. Probably the result of staffing issues. The town of Moose Lake is just a few miles away if you need to pick up any forgotten items. Duluth is a 45 minute drive for a day trip. Overall I would definitely recommend this St. Park for a weekend stay.

For Moose Lake State Park: We stayed weekend of 4/30-5/2, 2021. Trails are nice and wider than most. Echo Lake offers fishing and a nice swimming and picnic area. Campgrounds are relatively quiet and divided into three loops. The loop on end of road has best spacing and electric service. We will definitely return for summer and/or fall to experience other seasons at this relaxing park! Deducted 1/2 star for 30amp service not working at our site. 20amp was operable so still able to power every with planning.
