For Union Bay - Porcupine Mountains State Park: Camped one night Wed Sep 25 with a last minute reservation; place was full. We were on the interior loop and it was like sardines in a can ,,, could hear the neighbors snoring! The sites are so well used that it was mostly dirt - thank goodness it was dry. Bathroom/shower was good; scenery and hiking are awesome. Lake shore is rocky in the campground, but there is "beach" access nearby.

For Union Bay - Porcupine Mountains State Park: I芒鈧劉ve been here for 5 days so far, and I love it. We芒鈧劉re on the lower campsites right on Lake Superior. It芒鈧劉s beautiful! We芒鈧劉ve been biking and hiking on most days then we blow up the kayak, so fun. Everything is clean and the Park folks are great. It hasn芒鈧劉t rained at all so I can芒鈧劉t talk about any mud.

For Union Bay - Porcupine Mountains State Park: Camped here midweek late June. It had rained several days prior so many of the sites were mud. Best camping is on top of the bluff. Sites near the lake are crowded and the restroom is on top so a bit of a hike. Sites are mostly grass and slope toward the lake so some leveling may be needed. Restrooms are modern. Much to see in the area and good hikes.
