For Walkup Lake Campground: Love this quiet little NFS campground. 6 sites right on the water of a quiet little glacial lake. A few more in the woods. Flat and well drained. Not a managed campground, there are few amenities, but the North Country Trail is right there, there are rarely many other camps set up. Great kayaking, hiking. Loon and cicadas are about the only noise. Occasionally cars go by, but very dark, very quiet and very nice.
