For Alpena RV Park: Addendum:
The bar is next to the campground. Several nights
Shouting and karaoke went on until 11PM. We did watch campers (essentially with children)leave the campground days earlier than scheduled, d/t this extreme noise. Also
A huge, loud,obnoxious party was thrown 7/5/24, involving camps # 7-11, with no disregard for anyone else camping there. Security seen at party, so no use calling to complain.
On 7/6 & 7/7, MANY visitors seen coming off boats, to ? Visit the same encampment, despite 鈥渇ederal warning sign re: trespassing鈥..same encampment allowed their dogs to bark
All day during the 4 day holiday w/e. Security was notified about this, nothing done. We were told that camp # 7-11 folks come here every year, for this holiday party/meet up..
And 鈥 most people just give up and leave if they don鈥檛 like it鈥

For Alpena RV Park: First time here. Stayed 14D鈥.
Beautiful camp site: wooded
Camp sites EXTREMELY tight/close/tricky/unlevel
4th of July w/e was amazing!!! A MUST come if you don鈥檛 like to hear fireworks ( first year in years that I got to sleep)
Weather nice/cool not humid
Bathrooms clean/warm showers
Directly in Lake Huron - fishing off the chart
Scenic/beautiful
Town of Alpena very historic
Beaches along lake are cool to see
Scenic hiking at preserves
AJ berry picking farm close
Lots of amazing wild edibles in area; if you know what you鈥檙e looking for

For Alpena RV Park: Nice clean park with access to the lake. The only problem we had was that the spot they put us in was extremely tight to to park our large 5th wheel. Park is well maintained with canoes and kayaks to check out free.
