For Marthas Vineyard Family Campground: Camping on Martha芒鈧劉s Vineyard was a bucket list dream. When you hear people say 芒鈧搕he island is a really special place芒鈧, it芒鈧劉s true! Martha芒鈧劉s Vineyard is one of the coolest and most peaceful place I have ever been. I have a 27芒鈧劉 Airstream camper that I towed from Houston, TX to the Vineyard. I really didn芒鈧劉t think it was possible, but it is true, you CAN camp on Martha芒鈧劉s Vineyard. You have to plan in advance because you have to purchase a ferry pass for you and your camper. It芒鈧劉s difficult at all to take the camper on the ferry. (*It is a little expensive, but it芒鈧劉s worth the effort so you can have a car on the island.) The family that runs the campground are so very kind. They work hard and run a great vacation destination. While I was camping on the island, I had to get IV medications delivered to me. The people in the office would sign for my UPS package and then bring it to my door. I also feel ill while on vacation and had to be taken off the helicopter to The Mass General. That芒鈧劉s another thing that makes this a great place to visit. The hospital here on the island and the doctors are affiliated with The Mass General. So if they can芒鈧劉t fix you up in the ER of Martha芒鈧劉s Vineyard, they can quickly get you to Boston for medical care at one of the best hospitals in the world. When I had to be taken off the island to go to the hospital, the hospital staff and the campground staff all pitched in to take care of my dog and camper while I was in the hospital. This island offers a sense of home and family. Truly there is no other place in the world like Martha芒鈧劉s Vineyard!!!
