For Clifty Falls State Park: The campground with electricity is where we pitched our tents-and we certainly enjoyed our shady spot. Even on a Monday the park was pretty crowded-although surprisingly quiet. Lots of large groups with kiddos with parents who obviously are teaching campground etiquette. There are spots with little to no shade, so be sure and ask. These seemed to be the most prevalent in the center of the loops. The major let down is the bathrooms. They REALLY need work. I芒鈧劉ve never seen a state park in such rough shape. I would not shower in them. The bathroom side wreaked of urine and there was a mysterious drainage coming from what looked like a utility room. The pit toilets were also terrible-but that芒鈧劉s pretty normal in a high-use area. Bugs galore and stench. Not exactly clean. The pool was $3.00 a person and no food or drinks are allowed in. No shade at all-so bring sunscreen and your own umbrella if sensitive. These bathrooms were in better shape. There is a camp store and ice and fire wood are available. We used 30 amp with an old picnic table and nice fire ring with grill. There芒鈧劉s the usual per-car fee and only one car per site. Extra vehicles can be parked at the gate. The state needs to rehab the bathrooms and this place would be much better.

For Clifty Falls State Park: Great park with hiking trails thru forest to many falls. Inn had better wifi, cell, restaurant, grassy hillside overlooking Ohio River (also good for eclipse viewing). Push button showers lasted 3-5 seconds, no temp control, non-electric loop bathhouse much better. Sites in grassy fields, few trees. Staff friendly and helpful.
