For Vernon Springs Turkey River County Park: Excellent campground in a beautiful nature preserve area. Well maintained. Has a bike trail (Prairie Springs Recreational Trail) that has a spur from the campground and then runs through the the city of Cresco then goes another 25 or so miles to Calmar, IA. A small lake nearby for kayaking and the Turkey river. Sites are gravel and some level, some are not. All sites have 30/50 amp and water. A hidden gem of a campground.

For Vernon Springs Turkey River County Park: A real gem. Well maintained. Level and firm gravel spots, will easily fit big rigs. 30 and 40 amp service and water at each site, and easily accessible dump station. Dump fee is $10 if you芒鈧劉re not a registered camper. Restrooms are clean and have 2 showers. Municipal golf course nearby. Nice pond and the Turkey river within walking distance; both fishable. Smaller trees in campground surrounded by large old growth forest that provides morning or evening shade. Deer wander through in the evening. Only 9 people here on a Wednesday in late June 2019.
