For Middle Creek Campground: This is an excellent campground. It's very clean, the prices are great and there is a little creek (in the summer it's not so wet) right on the grounds.
I have never had problems with no cell service and if you're camping do you really want to sit on your phone?

For Middle Creek Campground: Camping in an oak savanna off Middle Creek just north of Upper Lake. Forest Service campground at a OHV location. A little busy on the weekend but during the week, it was really quiet and lots of birds. We paid half price with Golden Oldie Pass - $4 each night. Central water and vault toilets that were kept clean by friendly camphost. Could be a 5 Star but there芒鈧劉s no cell service. 15 minutes to Upper Lake.
