For Tahoe State Recreation Area: I love this campground! Right on Lake Tahoe, walk to shops and restaurants, river rafting, dog park in Tahoe City. Crowded and noisy on weekends, but lovely during the week. No hookups, bathrooms with hot water, hot showers with quarters. Friendly hosts.
