For Half Moon Bay State Beach: Beautiful area! As State parks go, this one is typical. Close quarters and tight roads to back through in a 37’ 5th wheel. But the scenery more than makes up for it. Dog friendly and the coastal walk is amazing! You are perched on the bluff above. It is green and of course the blue overlooking the ocean is spectacular. This is an electric only site, $45 per night and $65 to back into the bluff overlooking the ocean. Well worth it.Four stars due to tight spots and they enforce the rules. Dogs not allowed on sand, beach or otherwise. Many spots are long enough for large RVs’. There were many buses and 35’ plus rigs. We stayed in spot 20. We would definitely come back again.

For Half Moon Bay State Beach: $10 if you need to just use their dump station. Beautiful beach views!

For Half Moon Bay State Beach: Great location. The sites off to the back (non-electric) are well spaced. The price is too high for dry camping - even being at the beach. The restrooms were in need of cleaning - arrived at 2p - and left the next day at 10a... the restrooms had not gotten better.... I don’t understand the coin showers / at the price charged to camp, why are the California State Parks charging extra for showers?
The Ranger at the check in booth was not friendly. We were hoping to stay one more night - checked at 8:30a - she said she would not know until 10a - and I could stand in line - but I should not wait as the line may get long and a spot was not guaranteed... I came back at 9:30 - and by 10a I was the only person in line. She said no spots were available... she could have said that it was likely going to be full at 8:30a.

For Half Moon Bay State Beach: Really a nice location of the campground. Directly connected with a nice beach.
But relates to the high price, restrooms really needed more attention as well as the coin-showers.

For Half Moon Bay State Beach: Free wifi actually works here! The waves are really rough here because of the drop off, so it wasn't a good beach for our kids. But the sites are spacious, the bathrooms/showers clean and working, and an overall nice place to stay.

For Half Moon Bay State Beach: We stayed for 1 night on Jan 29. Excellent location on the beach. No hookups. Very clean coin op showers with hot water and good pressure. Bathroom outlets were not working so had to use RV. Walking trails on beach near by. Very clean and friendly camp staff. All sites very close to beach. $10 higher fee for sites next to beach ($59). Campground allowed dogs on leash but beach does not, however, a half mile away is a city beach that did allow dogs with leash. We will stay longer next time.
