For Primrose NF Campground: We were looking for a place to stay that would be convenient for hiking the Primrose Trail to Lost Lake. We're self-contained in our 25 foot MH and don't use the facilities. We stayed on a Sunday night in mid-August. We arrived late in the afternoon and 3 of the 8 sites were available. The CG filled soon after. The Primrose Trail begins in the CG. The sites are very different shapes and sizes. The parking spots are relatively small, dirt and some need leveling. Site 5 did not. There's additional space with grass and picnic tables at each site. The sites are in the trees, shaded and private. There's a water pump (no hose to fill RVs) and a dumpster. There's a pit toilet. There's a weak ATT cell signal with a booster. There's no Verizon service. It's a short walk to the day use area with views of Kenai Lake and nearby mountains.
