Don't pay for a parking spot here, when you do and someone who didn't pay for a spot parks in a reserved slot they will refuse to tow them and tell you to either park in a no parking zone or leave.
The GM here handled this very poorly and for some reason the regional manager for this location is based out of TN. Really makes sense for your regional manager(rm) to live in eastern time zone for a store two time zones away.
He, the RM, apparently has a policy where only be is allowed to male the decision to tow a truck but he refuses to answer his phone. I understand it is late in the evening on the east coast but it was only 2100 here. What is worse is the store knew about the truck parked in the spot before we got here because they had done a lot check and they did nothing to resolve the issue before we got here.
When I called in to let them know we were here they said they had been waiting for us and that they were aware of the truck illegally parked.
If this were a TA the truck would have been towed within the half hour, I've watched it happen. It took almost two hours before I finally gave in and parked behind some barriers. I at least got my refund but it shouldn't have been this big a deal.
I paid for a service, they failed to deliver on that and their management told me I could take it or leave it. Corporate even said the same thing. Despite being the corporate office the people I was able to speak with said they have no authority to tell the store what to do.
The GM's general attitude towards customer service is represented by the fact that his store was filthy, the only good thing about this location is the Denny's.
The cook tonight, Victor, was on point. The steak and potatoes I ordered were some of the best cooked food I've had in awhile.
