It was a convenient location, however 95%of the sites were blind-side back in with site marker signs rough in the way. My site was long, but terribly unlevel with sewer requiring two houses to reach and high off the ground. This required me to milk the hose as I was emptying the tank. Large potholes, particularly at the entrance. I saw a guy adding gravel to some of them. Maybe they keep them up slow people down who race around the park. Laundry has a whopping 2 washers and one was broken. I had to wait in line 2 hours to wash one load. Staff was friendly though. I think there’s slim pickings in the area for FHU’s so they may not be inclined to make improvements.

An ok stop over with long sites and full hook ups. Sewer is not in the best place being at the back of all sites. No rules enforced they apparently don’t care about repeat customers. So way to many people driving way to fast and walking there dogs through occupied sites. No host or owner on site. Won’t be back.

This is one of a few campgrounds in Michigan’s UP that is ‘right off the main highway’, full hook ups, large, mostly level and accommodating to big rigs. For that reason and that it is not horribly overpriced being near a popular national park, I could recommend it. All sites are easy to get into, & some have concrete pads, those closest to the highway. What I did not like is that wifi was nonexistent in the area of the park we were in, the laundry facility is wooful and staff offers no quarters so we ended up going to a laundromat. It’s a basic full hook up campground with nothing else to offer, stay there no longer than you need to in order to visit Pictured Rocks.

A relatively new campground with potential. Staff wasn’t too accommodating though - we asked for a pull thru site because we were just staying one night and didn’t want to unhook the trailer we pull. To be fair, we didn’t make a specific pull thru reservation, but the clerk said they had no pull thru sites. Except there were at least 3 open that night, including 2 directly across from us. It cost us an hour or more of sweating work that we didn’t need to do. Shower house looks new but we didn’t use it, sites are full hookup.

This was my first time at this campground back in July 2021. The sites were very nice. I had plenty of room for my 35 ft trailer and stuff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a short drive into town, it turned out better than I had expected. I wouldl go back to this one.

Brand new campsite- nice level spacious concrete pad. Site was covered in straw as the grass seed had just been planted. Nothing for scenery. Functional full hookup. Central bathhouse with plenty of private showers but only one men’s bathroom stall- something to consider if you’re a tent camper or without plumbing for the heavy business. Just a few minutes drive from Munising where there are shops, boat tours, a very nice mountain bike area. Several very nice beaches with a few minutes drive. Overall a perfectly functional campground.

Nice newer campground, site #37, large sites, full hookups. Central bath house - clean and nice, laundromat. Definitely not scenic but great place to stay while in area. We were back against the outer edge w woods in the back. Be sure and get a pasty and take Pictured Rocks boat trip.

Spacious sites. Not scenic- wouldn’t know you were in Michigan’s amazing Upper Peninsula! Could use more trees! A bit expensive. But certainly is a very reasonable place to spend a night. Quiet and felt safe.

Good access to Munising and Pictured Rocks. Large sites, easy access. FHU, picnic table and fire ring. Firewood for sale on site. Staff friendly and helpful.
