What a view of the glacier.
Yes its a parking lot and not level
Take the shuttle to the glacier you wont regret it.
It will make a night of dry camping well worth the stop.

Labor Day weekend and there were plenty of spots to stay. Where else can you view glaciers and icefields from the comfort of your rig while talking on the cellphone or surfing the net on Verizon LTE? Four to full bars. $15.70 for blacktop camping, no hookups and semi-level sites. But oh the view and the cell service.

This is a paved parking lot next to the Columbia ice field Discovery center. It is first come first serve. In 2019 it cost $15.70 per night. We liked it for the Glacier and mountain views as well as not needing reservation s. No hookups provided. Good lte signal in the lot and free WiFi in the info center.
