We stopped here on a drive home from Florida. We only stayed one night. We called in the morning and reserved a site, but decided when we saw it that it was a bit too close to the water for our youngest child and they were very nice about letting us pick a different spot. The park is shady, big and well maintained. Our kids loved the playground and basketball court. Fishing would have been fun if we had been equipped. We had dinner at Lazy Magnolia Brewery which is very nearby. The park was less than a third full and we were visiting at Spring Break.

We camped in this park in February and found it quite nice. Concrete level pads many with full hookups at very reasonable price. I am not sure why it is titled water park except that it is on the water. Many sites are on the river in a nice wooded area. It would be very lush in the summer when trees are in bloom, however due to flood plain areas around sites , mosquitoes might be an issue. Would have given this five stars but they are developing additional campsites and some areas were torn up. We did not use showers and public toilets. Nice pavilions, playground and helpful staff. For those micro brewery fans (which we are), Lazy Magnolia Brewery is a mile down the road....hooray!!!
