The park was nice and the 3 sites fine. However, at 10:00 I was awoken by a police officer who said the park closes at 10:00 and I had to leave. There now is no overnight camping or parking at this park.

Great find! So peaceful-lots of fishermen/women-walkers-No fee box/ no fee instructions, so we camped free…….
Right on the Yampa River in moose country! We did not spot any moose but saw lots of mule deer and sandhill cranes flying over head. We also hiked Cedar Mountain - 3.2 mile trail/level of difficulty moderate (perfect for flatlands! and had GREAT views of the area despite the smoke in the sky due to forest fires!!
I would highly recommend if you are OK with no services! :)
Restroom facilities were open/with a long walk thru the field
