Very nice campground. We were lucky to get a spot. There are 2 showers in our shower house. Seemed reasonably clean considering the crowd here. My biggest concern was how to get a site. I couldn’t figure it out before I got here. You have to reserve before you come either on line or call. Info was posted on the board as we entered. So, I called from my vehicle and we got the last spot available. Lousy cell but several digital TV stations.

Stayed one night at Clay County Park. Check-in is online and the camping host helped me do it on my smart phone. I van camped at a tent sight for $15 since I didn’t need a shore power connection. The restroom was clean and hot water showers are available. It was a nice and clean camping site. Be sure to drive to the nearby boat ramp to see the wide expanse of the Missouri River before you leave the area.

Nice clean well maintained campground. We had electricity and no water. I think potable water is on site. Bathrooms and showers were clean ! Self check in for sites. Be aware if the site has an R on the post it is supposedly reserved, we did not know that until we were set up. We stayed put and it was not an issue as several of the supposed reserved sites had no one on them and were empty when we left in the morning. We had a heavy rain early In the morning and the dump tank cap was under water so we were not able to dump our grey tank. There is a boat launch nearby and appeared to be several seasonal s here even though there was suppose to be a 14 day stay limit. Cost was $20 overnight and we did see the high sheriff ride through a couple times. A quiet safe spot to get some rest.
