Do not try to stay here during an event. American QuartervHourse Congress going on this week. We called and asked if we could camp overnight. We did not care about event just wanted a place to park for the night. The campsite would be $40. plus over $1000. for the event which we had to pay but they said would be refunded if we left in the morning. The person I talked to earlier didn't mention any additional fee. Very unaccomodating staff at gate.

Stop here for one night as it is 4 miles from nephews home. Though it is next to police academy, it feels very urban and feels somewhat unsafe. No gates and no one around. I am here on Sunday night, so that might explain no one being around. I had to drive around to find place to person to pay for site. There are a few RVs here, but the sites are grass and gravel and not very well maintained. 35.00 a night for full hook up but the sewer receptacles do not seem to have lids on them and with rain it could get muddy. Additionally, an active train runs along the side of the campground. I would have looked for something better if I would have known this. I do not think I will be back.
