Fantastic place! Can芒鈧劉t thank the city enough for offering this spot to travelers. We stayed one night when crossing Rte 2. Parked on level grass near the bathrooms/picnic tables and had a 15A plug in and water at site. Gorgeous grassy lawn abutting a playground on other side of fence. Perfectly quiet neighborhood except for the low hum of the grain elevator nearby. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers were amazing- great pressure and temperature; super clean shower stall. Only $15 donation in cash box 芒鈧 no fuss. Highly recommend (at least when tenured no event going on!).

What a dump, Dark. Dirty. Racing trucks rapping their pipes all all night. Then races at the fairgrounds besides. Party all night. Elevators for farmers across street so semis & trucks come & go all the time. If you are looking for quiet, This is not it.. the restrooms were disgusting & old. Even if free I would pay for something decent.

The entrance is easy to miss, just an unmarked gravel road. Once you find it, it芒鈧劉s a remarkably nice grassy area with electric hookups. Water down by one of the arenas. I didn芒鈧劉t see any restrooms. We were the only ones here on a Saturday night. No pay box, the city or county should install one. Great little overnight stop.

We stayed there and nobody said anything to us and there were people working on one of the building. No place to pay and no signs about camping. That being said I plan on sending a 20 to the fair board as it was worth it.

Was traveling with companion who had a 30 ft Class C. I芒鈧劉m in a Class B. We stayed here 3 different times while sightseeing in North Dakota, using it as a base. Didn芒鈧劉t use any facilities except electricity. Parking is on grass, not always level but we managed. Got gas for vehicles and ate at restaurants in town. Small Mexican restaurant at Geographical Center of NA is quite good. No one bothered us ever, even when we stayed 3 nights because of weather. Thank you, Rugby!

It芒鈧劉s everything everyone says it is - well kept, showers, bathrooms, lots of campsites and only one other person there. However, a few minutes after we picked a spot and pulled in, an unfriendly local 芒鈧揷ouncil-member, local tax-paying citizen of Rugby芒鈧 stopped by to let us know we芒鈧劉re not allowed to stay here and there芒鈧劉s a campground down the road. He asked how we even found this place and we let him know it芒鈧劉s listed as a public free campground on multiple sources and it looks like many people have stayed here without an issue. He is ended up saying it芒鈧劉s fine if we stay but we芒鈧劉re not supposed to. We talked to the other guy who said he芒鈧劉d been there for a few days and no one bothered him. I think the guy was just having a moment but it worked out fine. Just a heads up

What an absolute surprise of a wonderful campground. A free facility in a small rural town!! On a holiday weekend, we were the only ones there and had our choice of sites with electricity. The bathrooms were huge and the shower was better than ours at home. I didn't want to leave. If we come through the area in the future, we'll be staying there again

What an absolute gem!!!. The best kept secret of ND. This free small campground is fabulous. Well maintained, clean and quiet. We were the only ones here on the Friday of a holiday weekend. The bathrooms are spotless and showers are better than home. Loved it here and we'll be back.

Free - GEM of a place with plenty of room. Nice clean restrooms with a shower. MiFi signal very good. Beautiful golf course - 9 holes. Recommended.
