Fine location. Clear previous guests have trashed it- garbage and poop all over. Some odd balls definitely living here and abusing free use of it. Aside from that, pretty, and gets cell service

The positives? It's FREE, it's pretty darn quiet (you can barely hear the trains in the gorge, compared to campgrounds down there that can be loud), nice breezes, and some nice views from clearings. A good stop if you are tent camping or have a suitable rig to get you up the rough access road and down the dirt tracks into the camping clearings.
Rough, steep, washboard dirt/gravel road to get up to top of hill after paved road turn off. We did fine in a Ford Sportsmobile camper van (2wd), but not sure I'd attempt it in anything more than a Class B campervan that has ok clearance. I did see a regular car up there too.
Sites are basically rough clearings in the woods, no facilities at all. It's a basic climbers crash site, and I could see this being loud and possibly crazy on weekends when filled with climbers. We were there mid-week at end of June and there were only a few people camping.
