What a disappointment after reading the reviews. The 7 sites were clearly long term locals. 6 sites had run down trailers in them and they all had A LOT of things. The last site had a tent set up in it. Second try to stop here, and it will be our last. These aren’t for people just passing through.

Last year we had a frustrating experience at this campground However, we were so excited to see that there were no long term campers, 4 new campsites, and a few other improvements. Great job Elk City.

Great place to stop over night! The have added 4 more sites and added water. Nice place right on the lake. Police even drove through a couple times to check on the place. AT& T and T-Mobile had great reception.

In January 2022, we planned an overnight stop because our first experience 2 years ago on a trip to Arizona was great. However, this year, 3 of the 5 spots were long term residents. One even had someone come let the barking dog out. If we would have been much later in the day, we would not have gotten a spot.

Very nice camp site electric is available but no water at site. There is a free dump station if you need. Also nice restrooms and showers, you will walk to get to them but it’s a beautiful little park

5 sites but 3 looked to have long term rv’s. Water is located under a manhole cover in the grass. Didn’t use the dump. Nice little park, back in sites, good for a one night spot, would stay again for the $15 price. Felt safe with local police patrolling through several times.

Great spot. 5 campsites. Water is located in the grass behind campsite #3 under water main cover. Beautiful location. Go to town and visit The National Route 66 Museum. Fun way to spend a few hours going back in time. Reason for only 4 stars, the dump station has no water. $15 per night. The sites do slope toward the water. Site #1 is most level.

Not free, $15 a night. Cost looks to be a new addition. Nice place thought and worth the $15. Water connections are under a water meter cover and were still on in December. I was the only one here. Great Verizon signal and speed.

Very nice free site with 5 RV hookups. We found this site after visiting Elk City Route 66 Museum. Nice city. The site was by a scenic lake.. spots were taken the first night, so we boondocked in the area. We got a spot the next morning and stayed that night to wait out a storm before leaving the third day. Overall very pleasant spot.
